Intravenous Sedation

8 Hours Before Your IV Surgery


•  No eating or drinking anything, this includes water
•  Make sure your alarm is set and enough time is available to arrive to your surgery
appointment 15 minutes early
•  Make sure your ride is aware of your appointment time so they are able to get you to
your appointment on time
•  Continue to take your prescribed medications, unless otherwise directed

Post IV Surgery Information For The Next 72 Hours


•  Someone over the age of 18 should be caring for you the remainder of the day until you’re feeling better. During this time, they will be helping you with eating and taking medications.
•  Take your prescriptions right away (more info is included in your PO instructions which will be given to you in a PO goodie bag after dismissal from surgery)
•  Swelling will start to occur right away, make sure you are icing the areas
•  More information is included in our PO instructions which will be given to you after
your surgery
